'something that lasts longer than the amount of time it exists for' (2017)
In collaboration with Ghida Hachicho.
The performance explored invisible lines within urban environments and the possibility of transforming them into edges, parameters and boundaries.
The video alternates between two visual perspectives. The first, shows what the viewer could see through the ipad camera. The second represents the viewer's naked eye perspective, what is outside the camera's perspective, beyond the frame.
'something that lasts longer than the amount of time it exists for' was a performance that attempted to create a new, invisible space within a pre-existing site by materializing the edges of a camera’s perspective in physical space. When looking through a camera lens, the viewer sees the empty space of the South Bank beach however, their naked eye perspective reveals bodies performing choreographed movement outside the edges of the camera frame.
