'canary wharf cleaning piece' (2015)

Dressed as a cleaner, I cleaned various parts of Canary Wharf, London over 2 days with a mop, bucket and sponges until I was removed by the Canary Wharf security.

The performance attempted to sit after engagement but before recognition, intentionally resisting categorization in order to occupy an ambigious space in the minds of those witnessed the action. By provoking 'cognitive dissonance' within the viewer, normative patterns of perception and behaviour could possibly be disrupted.
